Description
Cara – PDO Multi Screw threads
are two screw-shaped threads interwoven on a needle. Thanks to the use of MAS technology, the shape of the screw is maintained even after the thread is inserted into the skin. The thread allows you to achieve a volumetric effect – reducing wrinkles and dimples. The effects last 7-9 months.
How do PDO threads work
Polydioxanone (PDO) is a synthetic fiber that completely dissolves in the tissue after some time. It is used in the production of skin and subcutaneous sutures, which is why it has been used in medicine for many years. The idea of using PDO threads in aesthetic treatments was born in Korea and quickly gained popularity around the world. The treatment involves inserting PDO threads under the skin (in selected areas) using a very thin needle. After insertion, the needle is removed and a dressing is applied to the skin. The treatment used creates a specific scaffold around which the body starts the process of neocollagenesis (production of new collagen fibers), stimulating fibroblasts to increase the synthesis of elastin and the synthesis of endogenous hyaluronic acid. After the treatment, the skin becomes more elastic, taut and elastic.
