Description
The presented peeling belongs to alpha-hydroxy acids, called AHA for short. It is ideal for skin exfoliation and rejuvenation treatments. Working in the stratum corneum of the skin, it will loosen the connections between the cellular cement and the epidermis cells, thus making the complexion brighter, smoother and properly moisturized. It is worth knowing that, depending on the needs, it is also used in combination with other acids, including pyruvic acid with antibacterial properties or a treatment such as microdermabrasion.
Application:
The skin exfoliation treatment with mandelic acid is dedicated mainly to people with problematic skin, i.e. acne, sensitive, vascular or combination skin. After the treatment, the general condition of the skin improves significantly and it becomes less sensitive to external factors. It then becomes brighter, moisturized and tighter. In acne-prone skin, the skin lesions dry up and seborrhea decreases.
Course of treatment
The effects of mandelic acid peeling are visible immediately after the treatment, however, to maintain the effect, it is worth suggesting a series of treatments. The optimal solution seems to be a series of six treatments spaced a week apart. The use of a series of treatments brightens and hydrates the skin, reduces seborrhea and evens out the color, which will last for a long time. Such a series may be repeated twice a year. It is worth emphasizing to the patient that after the mandelic acid treatment, you should not sunbathe, either naturally or in a solarium, for two or preferably three weeks.
